Dropbox will soon be hitting Android, thank god. And while the list of features and integration by itself looks awesome so far, this one feature has me more than a little excited:

Access your Dropbox on the go – All the contents of your Dropbox are available for viewing. You can even stream music and movies in your Dropbox straight to your Android device.

Yeah. For $10 a month I can have 50 GB of data in the cloud (or $20 a month for 100GB), synced to all my computers and devices, with the ability to stream music on the go. No need for the still not released 32 GB SD Card (which would be something like $200 by itself). So basically, 2 years of dropbox syncing.

The only real problems are, of course, streaming killing your battery and sound quality. For battery needs I personally will just say screw it and usually keep my phone plugged in while streaming. Audio quality we will just have to wait and see.

No announcements of dropbox for Blackberry yet unfortunately. And unfortunately my iPod Touch is jailbroken on 3.0.1, so I cannot download the dropbox app (it was released on a later iPhone update). Can anyone confirm/deny whether the iPhone app allows streaming? I do not see it there.

p.s. Mint.com is def developing an app for Android, just got delayed by the company being bought by Intuit.
